The dragon fruit originates from Mexico and Middle America. Now you can also find them all over Asia. Vietnam is currently the biggest producer and exporter of dragon fruit with a total area of 55,000 ha. Other producers are Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia, Israel, while producers in South America include Mexico, Ecuador, Columbia, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.
